Our Tiny Home

My Wife and I have 7 children so for us an 1,152 sq. ft house IS a tiny home. We designed and built it from the ground up.  It is 14' wide by 40' long not including the covered porch.

Please comment and let us know what you think.

If you are interested in a house plan like this please check out my wife's website here: House Plan Girl

At only 1152 sq. ft this home feels very rich and much larger on the inside than it looks on the outside due to it's open concept design and 9' ceilings throughout.

Downstairs Features: Large Kitchen and Dinning room, Living room and Mudroom. Kitchen features premium cabinets, custom food grade American Walnut butcher block counter tops.  The dinning room is Mid sized with a built in desk area, living room is large and has built in entertainment closet and built in surround sound speakers.
Upstairs Features: Master Bedroom and Master bath, Guest Bathroom and Bedroom, Laundry.  The master bedroom is large and features a ceiling fan, walk out deck, walk in closet and master bath with travertine tile floors and a travertine tiled walk in shower with dual shower heads and glass doors. The Second bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan and built in loft bed and large closet.
Lighting: we love good lighting so this home features a mix of LED and incondesent lighting throughout the house.
Flooring: Solid Oak Hardwood, Travertine Stone and Premium Carpet in both bedrooms.
Siding: When it comes to siding we used the best.  Hardy Plank siding is a very durable concrete fiber cement siding.
Windows:  All windows are manufactured by Armwood and are triple pane custom windows.

Here are some photos of the construction phase.
