What can I say?  I am a proud father.  Isaiah has been working on this film for about a year.  Today he finished it and we all get to enjoy the benefits of his work all wrapped into less than 5 minutes.

Arwen, my daughter, Isaiah's sister stars as Rey and did an excellent job as well.

We Got a New Mattress!

Out with the old

Julie and I have been using the same foam mattress for the past 6 years.  We figured it was time for a change.

A couple years back I (Shane) fell about 10' and landed right on top of my head injuring my neck and back.  Ever since then our foam mattress has not agreed with me.  We knew we would need a custom size.  62x86 to be exact.

We didn't just want a regular mattress.  We wanted a high quality mattress made to last and made out of all natural materials.  We came across My Custom Bedding and found that they could accommodate everything we were looking for.  They are a family owned company that still makes their mattresses on equipment that has been passed on through their family.

Their service was friendly and very helpful.  We placed our order.


A couple weeks later we received a call from the shipping center that the mattress had arrived!
My biggest concern was that we would not be able to fit the mattress through the door of the bus.  But, with a little work we were able to get it in without too much trouble.  It fit PERFECT.  I was actually amazed that they were able to make it to the exact size that we requested.

Because our the master bedroom doubles as our living room.  All the kids wanted to give it a try as well.  They have told us that sitting on the new matress while watching a movie is much more comfortable than before.

We have now had the mattress for about a week and we can say from personal experience that it is very COMFORTABLE!  We have not slept this good for a long time.

We found the closest dumpster and disposed of the old mattress.  Now, the kids are all jealous and want a nice, plush mattress for their bunks.  That will have to wait a little while!
